Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it last?

Without touch ups, microblading lasts on average one year. Some people may have premature fading, while others may retain pigment longer than one year.

Does it hurt?

Each client will receive topical numbing with lidocaine prior to the procedure. Unfortunately, it’s impossible for our technicians to predict how well someone will numb.

What is the healing process like?

Healing takes on average one week. During this time, brows will be slightly itchy and minor flaking will occur. Although the incisions will be healed on the outside, the skin takes about 4 weeks to fully heal.

Can anyone get microblading?

Almost anyone can get microblading, however, there are several medical conditions that prevent someone from getting it. Diabetic patients may not receive microblading, as well as any woman who is pregnant or breastfeeding. For a complete list of medical conditions, please call.

Do I have to get the touch up?

Yes! Touch ups are mandatory after 6-10 weeks because everyone will have different outcomes. Sometimes strokes may fade off too quickly, and those spots will need to be refilled.

How long does each appointment take?

The first full-service appointment takes about two hours. The touch-up appointment takes about one to one and a half hours.

How often do I need to get a touch up?

Since everyone’s skin is different, it’s unlikely that we will be able to predict how someone’s skin will retain the pigment. Touch ups are recommended once the shape is lost, and the strokes are not as prominent and noticeable. This will happen around the 10-month mark.

What kind of licensing is required to perform microblading?

It is very important to make sure the facility where you are getting microblading is properly licensed. First, the technician should have their bloodborne pathogens certification. Second, the facility should have a certificate posted that the building has been inspected and approved by the county board of health. Last, the technician should have a certificate stating they have completed microblading training.
